Koh Brothers Group Limited, a well-established construction, property development and specialist engineering solutions provider, today announced that it has been awarded a S$51.9 million contract from the HDB for building works at Choa Chu Kang.
The contract includes the building of four blocks of 16-storey residential buildings, one substation and one multi-storey carpark.
This brings the total contract awarded in 2009 by HDB to S$255.4 million. In January this year, the Group secured a S$144.6 million HDB contract for Punggol Waterway Part 1 and was awarded Part 2 of the same contract worth S$58.9 million subsequently in July.
Said Mr Francis Koh, Koh Brothers’ Group Managing Director and CEO: “It is an honour to clinch our third consecutive contract from HDB this year. This adds on to our strong track record of projects with HDB and is a testimony to our expertise and commitment to delivering quality work. Going forward, we hope to capitalise on our established strengths to capture more business opportunities from the public sector.”
Works on the project will commence in October 2009 and is expected to be completed by end 2011.
Koh Brothers does not expect the project to have a material impact on the Group’s financial performance for the year ending December 31, 2009.
Currently, the Group’s total order book stands at S$630.9 million.
