The Housing and Development Board (HDB) launched a public tender on Monday for the Jurong West landed housing site.

The 99-year leasehold parcel, located in Westwood Avenue, Jurong West, has a site area of 14,098.9 sq m and is included on the government's reserve list.

The plot is close to the Pan-Island Expressway and next to Westville landed housing estate.

The minimum bid price for the site is $15 million, said the HDB. A developer who refused to be named had earlier committed to bid for the site at that amount, or equivalent to $99 per sq ft of land area.

Property consultants are expecting to see no less than five bids for the Jurong West site.

The tender will close on Tuesday, 8 December 2009, at around 12 noon.
